1st Gentlemen’s Breakfast Club Meet

Saturday 20th January 2018 was the first official Gentleman’s Breakfast Club Meet (GBCM), the weather was not on our side with rain, sleet and snow but we still had a turn out of 8.

The GBCM is a car enthusiasts monthly breakfast meet and whether you have a classic car (pre 1975), super car, american car or truck all are welcome.

After a recent clear out of the office I used our Campervan as a small shop to sell a great selection of magazines and car books to members.

Since then another member has suggested that this could be hired by members to sell : Tools , Car parts, Memorabillia, Music, or doing a Business Promotion                                      Items not to sell: Duty Free, Cigarettes and E-Cigarettes                                                               Any one interested in booking the Campervan shop let me know, monies taken will go towards the set up, running cost of the club and Portaloo’s as membership grows.

How the GBC began…

The day before Christmas Eve 2017 four guys got together for Coffee and mince pies in a car storage unit in East Lancashire to get away from partners and children and all the fuss that goes with Christmas.

I knew everyone but the rest of the group were strangers to each other, all with an interest in classic cars.

Despite the cold at the unit, the conversations about cars was a great way to spend the morning to get out of last minute shopping and all the commercial hype that goes with Christmas.

The only person who came down in a classic on this day was Brent with his recently restored TVR, which was a prototype car. FullSizeRender

Image shows Brent discussing his TVR with Andy.

On departure a couple of people said they had enjoyed the morning and asked if we could arrange another meeting?

A couple of days later and the meeting got the name of the:

“Gentlemans Breakfast Club”
